Hi. I am new to this, but very interested and curious. I have read some of the other threads for new members. I am not really sure how to reach out properly to other yet. If anyone had advice and or suggestions, I am open to hear them.

A good way to become involved is to visit the chat room and introduce yourself there, or to simply start playing on the games forums. It's a nice no-pressure way of interacting. And of course, posting questions on the forums is also great.
