I'm a 20 year old girl and have next to no experience as i have never really been in a relationship where i feel i can experiment. I have had boyfriends in the past, who ended up being no more than friends because i felt as if i was being put in the dominant role which i really didn't enjoy. Sometimes i feel as if i'm just asking too much but on the other hand i don't want to ignore the submissive tendencies i feel i have. I can remember having submissive thoughts really quite young but i'm not sure if i can really call them fantasies. Is it actually possible to be aware of/enjoy the idea of bdsm at a young age?

hrm i think you can be aware of tendencies at a young age and i don't think it's wrong to seek those whom you need to be dominant so you can explore those tendencies. Good luck.. go slow and patiently. you'll find him/her.

Twenty is not too young! I was aware some time around 14 that I was submissive…or at least I was not like other boys and men. I may not have had a name for it at that time though. It is a blessing to be aware of your desires and to be able to put those desires into words.

I wanted to tell you i have had my submissive thoughts and sexual fantasies since i was very young also (9) when i began entering puberty, and they have never once changed in 22 years so far, so to answer your question, YES, i believe you can definitely know from a young age.

i hope you find the right people with whom to explore, because it's very important. i don't find it's something i can ignore in me, although at times i thought i could.
