I opened my email today and found this. I had to share it with everyone who knows slave and I.

love lost in their truth
within limits, not ours
passion drowned by disillusion
two sinking flowers

New roots now entangled
reborn growing free
life reinvented
my lover and me

Never that far
but fathoms between
our continents divided
by my own self esteem

The sting in my tail
the spring in my step
the words to describe this
leave me feeling inept

the dawn to my day
the moon to my sun
the usual clichés
to name but a some

this feeling of need
this feeling of want
filling me up
in the places we haunt

so what does it mean?
this hunger inside
to feel satisfied
when your here by my side
