Problems accessing the site

The forum (actually, the entire www.bdsmlibrary.com site) randomly decides to not work for me. It gives me an error \"Unknown host www.bdsmlibrary.com\". I think in IE speak, this equals a 404 error. But instinctually, I\'m thinking it has something to do with the DNS not validating correctly...

Because, the weird thing is, when I use an anonymizer like www.theproxyfree.com, the site shows up perfectly fine (hence my ability to type this). Since there havn\'t been other complaints, i\'m pretty sure that it\'s a problem unique to me.

While typing this, an idea is occuring to me; I\'m going to go try OpenDNS. Hopefully that will work. *runs off to try*

Okay, as far as I can tell, it worked. Everything seems dandy but I\'ll post back if I face this problem again.

For anyone else experiencing this problem: It is most likely a problem with your default dns. Go to http://www.opendns.com/ and use their servers instead. They\'re pretty fast, and are working like a charm for me so far.

yep it is the internet for you ---lol between server problems here and individual IP problems ----setting problems on each computer ---it is enough to drive you crazy ---or in my case it is a very short putt---lol

I was having problems from multiple sites. I did the open DNS thing, and now have very little problems.

Been doing it for awhile now.
