Java Issue

i prefer using mozilla firefox but have issues with it when chatting, it keeps freezing and the cursor is taken out of the type box. odd messages keep coming underneath the type box asking me to down load latest java when i know i am up to date. anyone got any ideas what is going on? do firefox and java not mix well?

I am using XP s2 with IE7. Just tried the chatroom. Everything is working fine.

Just upgraded Java to the latest version, changed from IE to firefox and turned off all firewalls... and I still can't get into chat.

What anti-virus software are you running?

pj - I looked at the software, and it appears to have an internet security feature. try disabling that feature, if you are still unable to get into the chat room, try completely removing avg from your computer. If you are able to get in after doing either of those, then we can narrow down the cause.
