Eyes shining brightly, forward

The silence is deafening
I want

Can you feel it?
A hunger
Emotion without direction
Belief in the truth of love, not broken

The burden is heavy
I want

Do you understand?
The pain
Energy without focus
Hand me the words of your story

Truth is simplicity
I want

Can you feed it?
The animal
Burning without fire
A tender embrace in the light of morning

A dark peace
I want

Will you run or stay?
Heavy choices
Lust without restraint
Caressed by the power of the heart

Fear is nothing
I want

TW,. . . . I must admit at first that after reading this poem several times, I found that I was left with a feeling of unease and disquiet. THe combination of the words and the scansion was somewhat disturding to me. I like the poem, don't get me wrong, but it conveyed such a sense of deep dischord that I picked it up . . . . . no offense, but that is how it affected me.
