Her gentle hand traces patterns on your thigh
The long delicate fingers
Against pale, smooth skin
Nails grating lightly, with their happiness.

You close your dark deep eyes
To the comforting warm nights darkness,
And feel the silken hair, flowing past her shoulders
Listening, silent, to the soft sigh from her full lips.

A seductive shiver, courses through your flesh
And you smile, with the heat of her small body against your own,
While your long black nails, lovingly caress
Her smooth, cool, olive skin.

Your warm lips softly trace along her neck,
Biting at her ear, as she trembles against your chest,
While your fingers trace the delicate beauty
Of her breasts as she rests against your body.

And in that protecting darkness
While the world closes its eyes to the unknown,
You hold this treasure to your body
And whisper kindness to her heart.

Your pale fingers travel lower,
As she closes those dark eyes
And you smile against her hair, and whisper
When her thighs, full and warm, part slowly to your hand.

Your heart warms with this trust
As you feel her heat and wetness against your gentle fingers,
The passionate gasp from her soft lips
As you whisper love and honour to her soul.

And while her body arches, and her nails dig to your thighs
To old and memorable scars,
You close your eyes, and feel that release
And know you will never hurt her.

I liked this stanza in particular. The concept of protecting darkness intrigues me. Most people don't think of darkness as protecting.

Again, Thankyou TDS for your thoughts. These comments are a great help in my continued writing. I think in some way the darkness is protecting, or at least, it always has been for me. I always felt safe in the dark, like a strange kind of ethereal blanket drawing you close and shutting out prying eyes and harsh actions...
