Estropeado (Spanish for broken)

I have received requests recently to post some of my work....so I will. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.

ESTROPEADO
Lying awake, enveloped by darkness

Tormented by recent memory

Nightmares made reality

Fleeting visions of recent past

Fresh tears from bloodshot eyes

Silent sobs, shoulders shudder

Hollow chest full of emptiness

Mind reeling from disconnection

Failed to heed it's warning

Severed by an ignorant heart

Shattered pieces

What's left from a life of lies

Fresh blood stains the floor

Attempt to drain agony from the soul

Collapsing into fitful unconsciousness

Only to wake and live it again
