Fascinating.
Mildly interesting.
Doesn't do a thing for me.
Ewww.

Damn it, I can't seem to edit the typo I made in the poll options.![]()
Personally, I don't find much pleasure from bleeding. However, I can see where it could be a very deeply sensual thing. It just doesn't turn me on, personally. Though, if there is a little blood in some "painplay" I don't mind. Just as long as it doesn't get out of hand, blood doesn't bother me it just doesn't turn me on either. lol
Hmmm, blood doesn't do a whole lot for me...but it would completely depend on the context..i.e. what caused the bleeding. i hate needles or anything like that, so that wouldn't be good, but i wouldn't baulk at a story wherein someone bled slightly through being whipped. i think that what i really mean is that if it's as a consequence of the main event, i don't mind..but 'blood play' on it's own i'd be less keen on.

I think the sight of your own blood can be a massive turn on, it pushes at the boundaries of your body, watching what is your life blood dripping away.

needles don't necessarily involve blood, most of the time there isn't a single drop, i guess i had a few hundred so far and never bled more than a drop maximum apart from having them stuck in my nipples when they were tightly bound but that was the pressure that made it bleed, usually it doesn't bleed at all. but am still scared to death of needles.
and i told SN lots of times that i wouldn't ever do knife play![]()

I have only one exception to bloodplay - that is the blood must come from my nose and not anywhere else, unless it is minute amounts coming from acne or little scabs.

Hmmm, yeah, maybe needles was a poor example...i probably picked it because i just can't stand them, and it remains a hard limit for me, certainly for the forseeable future.Originally Posted by myri_SN

Well, in the story I got half-written it went like this:
A domme and her sub are in the kitchen. Like me, she enjoys cooking, so she's gathering stuff and having him do the drudge work of chopping and slicing. His mind is wandering and he accidently cuts her hand. It's a sharp knife so the cut bleeds profusely. He's horrified, she's stunned. Angry, she smears the blood in his face. She suddenly becomes aroused, but he's still horrified. She smears the blood on her face and pushes him onto the floor. She mounts him and rides him hard, cutting him with the knife to smear them both with his blood.
That's about as far as I got. It was pretty intense, and I wrote it in a stream of consciousness sort of style. Basically, he's turned on by her predatory attitude, but he's also terrified by this new side of her.
The idea of being cut on purpose leaves me cold. But I will gladly bleed for him. I have been whipped and canned hard enough for that. I have submitted to needles. One I went on a hiking trip with no shoes for him. I expected my feet to be hurt and to bleed and they did. But in all this examples bleeding itself was not the objective, only the consequence.
Now that I am into dancing, we rented a movie called "The Naked Tango". There is a scene where the leasding man makes the heroine dance in an slaughterhouse, ankle deep in bloodied water, holding a knife to her throat. That was strangely erotic and it turned me on, but if I had seen him cut her, I would have been put off.
Do not do unto others as you would like them to do unto yourself; rather do unto others as they would like you to do unto them.
Not sure how I would ever react to blood from needle play or similar.. having been whipped/flogged to the point of blood, I found the 'bleeding aspect' mildly arousing compared to the rest of the scene and it definitely was not a turn off.
My biggest turn on however, was being bitten and having blood drawn from his bite.. the innate animalness of it, of him asserting his Dominance over me in such a raw, primal form, turned me on greatly.
Pagan, the small paragraph you've written, hinting at what you meant certainly has my curiosity and I wouldnt mind reading more. Turn me off? Not in the least.
This of course is just a small snippet in the affirmative from the D/s community out there.
Duped
Thank you, duped. If and if I can get this writer's block unblocked I'll finish the story.
i love sucking blood, its one of the tastiest bodily fluids! not only that, it's our life source. i find great symbolism in sucking blood... :[
i would just like to add that sadly ive never had the chance to suck blood from anyone else (although i have licked a drop or two, but it's really not the same thing). *sigh*![]()
I read the above and the other post saon this topic and wondered if people who read this know the difference between fantasies (i.e. reading stories, etc.) and doing these things in real life, with real people. Now it might sound like I am treating people like morons (obviously people know the difference between fantasy and reality), but I have found that sometimes people don't really understand the risks involved in some types of BDSM activities done in real life.Originally Posted by blondesub88
Basically I wanted to say that if you are going to indulge in blood play, cutting, piercing, needles etc..., you need to understand the risks involved. There are specific diseases that are transmitted through blood, Hepatitis C is one of them and it is very nasty. There are others too, so if you are going to really be involved in play where you are exposed to the blood of others you are going to wish to both be tested for STD's first. Then you at least know what your risk is.
Second, anytime you draw blood you risk infection. Sometime these can be very nasty and can be very detrimental to health. So make sure the instruments you use (knives, razors, needles, etc.) are sterilized. Better yet purchase sterilized, one use instruments. Also dispose of properly so others aren't exposed to the blood.
I have seen others do blood play and it can be very intense and erotic, but they always knew what the risks were and worked very hard to make sure they were safe. When they played on public surfaces (bondage tables, crosses etc.) they always made sure they cleaned everything afterward.
So while blood play can be very intense, exciting and arousing in stories, actual practice needs to be only done by those who know the risks involved and then following very specific safety procedures.
There are many great articles on the Web at different sites on precautions and how to do it safely.

blood play doesn't sound interesting to me but I guess if someone was into vampires then I can see how that would work. :[

as a school bus driver I was forced to attend a lecture and video tape on the dangers of blood born pathogens and there dangers.
It was an osha thing.
Any way the main fact that it is dangerous and should be avoided. The HIV and hepatitis C and B are transmitted via blood. And while you would think that your Partner should be HIV free. It is very possible to have hepatitis C and not even know it. That is why Tatoo's are very dangerous, there was a survey that said that more than 50 percent of people that have tattoos have hepatitis c(don't know about 50 % but allot of them do anyway)
I of course am not a doctor but we do have one on the group I think his post in the past sure sound like it. How say yea EE norcord.
My vote is lets keep the blood in the body during play.

I share your disinterest in playing with blood. To acquire infection from it, it must come into contact with a mucous membrane - lips, genitals ....etc...
I think your stats on the tatts are way off course man, Hepatitis is a historical risk in a proper modern tattoo shop.
Does if you have a vamp fetish..but still, i take your point.Originally Posted by myri_SN

Blood is nothing to play with
I have no fact's other than what I heard on a radio talk show so I will not fight you on the tatoo v hipotitus scare.
But as far as blood/solids/gases and other body componants are conserned I like it best when they are in the body. I keep paper towels bandages and latex gloves. God for bid one of the kids has an alergy to latex. That would not be good.

LMAO .. sorry Mobius but that's hilarious. You sensibly try to think of everything to protect you and your damn kids and then, as you so rightly point out, you could be totally stuffed purely BECAUSE of the precautions you have taken. Good luck mate.Originally Posted by Mobius
