    Question Interracial stuff

    Hi,
I'm in the process of writing my 1st three stores, all starring the same main character/heroine. In my 3rd, I had a strong plot involving a black man working for a rich white family. Without revealing much of anything (I'd still like to pursue it), I'm now conflicted after reading a post here where someone was very turned off by the interracial theme. I don't remember exactly the problem, but I'm guessing that negative stereotypes were the issue.

I think I was being pretty creative with the character and had quite a few surprises in store, but I'll cop to the fact that this man was well endowed. Now, that's not negative or demeaning is it? From my point of view, being "hung" can come in very handy in erotic situations.

However, I have read some stories that I thought depicted black men in the worst possible way, for example, big scary, crude, black men from the ghetto preying on little defenseless white women who somehow end up in the wrong neighborhood. You know, horendous rape and humiliation and all that. I don't care for this stuff at all, but obviously someone does. I'm not going in that direction. My character was going to have a certain regal bearing about him.

    Opinions?

Do not worry about trying to please everyone. Ther will be for sure people who will not like the interracial theme, period. Or it may be snuff, or young characters, or anal action, who cares? That is why you can put tags on your story when you post it. Only those who can not tell the difference between fiction and fact will feel insulted. If you can make your character interesting and sexy, I would not personally care if he is black, yellow or fuschia.
Do not do unto others as you would like them to do unto yourself; rather do unto others as they would like you to do unto them.
