Dark Embrace

Ok firstly I just have to say that I am no poet, I find it such a difficult medium to work in… perhaps it’s the need to be concise which I oh so rarely am… but I have written this with a need to do so, a prose wrought through emotion and something deeper…


Dark Embrace

Lost to the darkness, its cold surround,
To face this Abyss forever I’m bound…
I close my eyes and still my breath,
Await the cold ice creep of death…

The shadows are home to sorrow and fear,
My mind sparks; I’m not alone here…
I fear to turn, I fear to move,
Yet I feel a touch my pain to soothe…

Comfort bought by whispered word,
Her restful voice is all I heard…
Release my hold on life so vain,
Her soft touch drinks away my pain…

Her teeth against my neck caress,
My desires for her I no longer suppress…
A sudden pain, the warmth of blood,
In my love for her my senses flood…

Silence now, my old life done,
My soul renewed, my deep pain has gone…
My sweet vampire, her embrace so tight,
In the Darkness she is my light…
