    foot stretcher

Anyone know where I can actually get one of there? Its a kind of foot gear, typically with with stiffening along the sole and up the ankle, with straps across the lower leg and across the foot, to hold it in position. They are for foot training while resting, holding the foot in the position of a ballet dancer on her toes. The story "'Tis the Season" by Musker has this in it, as well as many other stories and articles I have come across. I have also seen it by many different names: arched slipper, training slipper, toe-foot stretcher, foot-corset, etc.

Mmm...no, what I'm looking for is heel-less. Its designed to be worn to bed for to maintain the foot's arch during sleep. It has a firm arch and stiffeners, typically metal, which hold it to the leg, but otherwise the body is soft. It is not meant to walk around in. I set my avitar to a pic that supposed to be what I'm looking for, but its not very good....

in one of the house of gord books that I have has a design that has a strap that goes under the Heal of the foot. It has a spike just under the Heal to keep the victom on there toes. Benson did the illustration. Unfortunatly I can not post it here due to the coc etc.

Also in more than one story that I have read on the bdsmlybrary with the story code body mod. They talk about shortening the tendons. So the victim connot stand flat footed. But must stay on the balls/toes of there feet.

I asume that this is fiction. Call me gulible but is there any operation to make standing on high heals more comfortible?

Yes I know I am gulible.

LOL. I know, such an innocent question too, the poor girl simply wants to improve her ballet and here we are making all these assumptions....

Apparently if you do wear high heels a lot you can feel uncomfortable tension in your calves on standing flat as these muscles are not stretched because of the heels. I assume when you see women in high heels flexing their ankle forward when they are sitting, it's to relieve the discomfort but is actually also stretching those muscles too.

If you wanted to stimulate the calf contraction you'd need to have a brace or splint that prevented forward flexion at the ankle, so that would have to be secured on the front of the foot/shin.

testarossa - I'd be extremely interested in hearing if you do get one of these things or if you are thinking of training your feet in this way.

    Arch modification

    There's a device pictured here:

If you want something that will do sort of the same thing but not be so expensive or so extreme, there's this. It's called the Pro-Arch. www.discountdance.com, click on 'gifts and accessories', page 3.

Those contraptions are closer to what I was looking for, but I doubt they are good for lounging or sleeping in... Its supposed to be little more than a slipper.
Thanks to everyone who is trying.

    well...

Have you thought about making your own?
If you purchase a pre-arched ballet shoe with a strong shank (#3, or 'Hard' shank) you could check a hardware store for a pre-bent hard strip of metal that could be strapped around the toe box of the pointe shoe and the heel of the shoe could be riveted/glued/strapped/attached in some way to the back of the arch. This would keep the shoe permanently arched. Then using extra elastics or buckled straps you could keep your foot in them.
Have you taken ballet lessons in the past? specifically lessons en pointe? Because if you haven't, make sure when you put this on you wear them for a long time only sitting down, or only with some other support (like holding onto a kitchen counter or something like that.) Because even with that bent-steel piece on that shoe, it's still going to be painful and even potentially permanently damaging to your feet if you don't build up to it gradually. And if you're naturally flat-footed and/or have no arch, this won't be a good idea at all.
Also invest in some really good gel toe inserts and lambswool. And clip your toenails very very short. If you paint your toenails, remove the polish. And be prepared for PAINFUL cramping of the abductor hallucis, the big muscle running down the inside of your foot (your arch). That's going to feel like a paralysis of your whole foot. Blisters on the tips of your toes, and on the upper joints of your toes that will pop and bleed if you don't use sports tape or bandaids to cover those joints. You'll also get cramps up the back of your legs, up your Achilles tendons and leg muscles. If you stand for long periods of time on your toes like this you'll also get back strain and hip pain. All of which will only be that much worse of you're over your recommended weight. And as you get older, if you do this over a period of years, you may get chronic back pain and/or intermittent hip pains.
So think carefully before you do this. As a former dancer, I know how going en pointe can hurt. And that was back when I was ten, imagine how it would feel now, after having had two kids and now with an extra sixty pounds on my frame! I couldn't do it. I've hung up my pointe shoes permanently. If yo can do it, go ahead...but do some basic foot-strengthening exercises first.
    Everything has a price.

I may have to try that, though I sure I won't do a very good job. I haven't had any ballet lessons in the past, but I do not intend to walk around in these either. I'll may have to go with your idea. Thanks.
