    Amnesty and Clean Slate Programs

    Amnesty and Clean Slate Programs

    Amnesty Program

The amnesty program is designed to allow members previously banned for “non-violent” offenses (passwords, etc.) in both chat and forums to return to the site. No person banned for “violent” offenses (underage, spam, etc.) will be allowed to return. For a member to return, they need to send an email to the Site Admin (Torq) at torq654@hotmail.com with the following information:

    User Name (correct spelling)
    Reason for ban
Date of ban (as approximate as possible)

The reason for the program is to give everyone a clean slate with the new guidelines and to ensure that all members are treated equally across the board. Banned members who have already returned to the site under a new name may revert to their old name if they so choose. They must go through the same procedure and send the Site Admin their ban information.

Members who are granted amnesty may have to re-register and may not be able to revert back to old name (may not be available), post count, signature block, avatar, etc.

The Admin Staff will have final say in the lifting of any ban on any member.

This Amnesty Program is a one-shot deal. All members banned under the new guidelines will be permanently banned from the site—that’s forums, chat and the academy and may NOT return under any other name.

    Clean Slate Program

Members who received infraction points under the previous system will be reset to zero points. This allows equal application of the new guidelines across the board and prevents any issues such as “well under the old rules I received points for this and it is no longer is against the guidelines.”

Perhaps removing any IP bans for those people you would like to welcome back. Even sending a message to those non-violet offenders via email, I would think once banned a person would cease trying to come back, therefore wouldn't know about the amnesty program.

Can I suggest that in the future that first time offenders are given a ban that has a time limit attached to them, other stipulations can be made to fit the offense. This way they will learn, hopefully and return wiser members
