My first attempt in a very long time folks - for someone very special

When silence grows

Within the passage of the words,
a sigh, a heart beats with a poignant tone.
Worn on the sleeve for all to see,
few do, few care to look,
or in looking see.

And in the poignancy,
thrumming like a treble drum, high and sharp,
the echoed screams of other words
and other times.

Not fading, nor never still,
sharp and fragile as glass.
And against the stiletto thrust,
the parry of stern saber
wielded by a tutored hand.

Not really WB - more as a Muse - I used to write poetry a life-time ago, and haven't for many, many years - but her words spark something in me, that just floods out uncheckable and unchecked...
