    Is there a May theme?

Is there a theme for the May contest or can I just take a whack at it and see what happens?

No. I'm sorry ragdoll, but, there has been a poor showing for poetry submissions.

If there is an increase in requests for a writing theme for June, July, etc., then I will set one up.

You are welcome to try the story contest.

i am interested in the contests but as an irrational and sometimes disorganised writer i cant seem to follow themes. i sorta get writers block. *smiles*
but if you broaden the range more to the emotional side it might work for me as that is all i seem to be good at. . I have only been on this site for a little while so i don't know if this had been done in the past or not, but if we were to have something along the lines of your greatest fear...Being that it can be an emotional fear or a tangible one such as fear of spiders. I don't know if that would work, but just an idea.
My apologies if i have over stepped my bounds in any way.
    Respectfully ,
    Shy

    Hello shy,

I'm glad you are interested in our writing contests. The contest has guidelines that must be followed. The next months' theme is posted before the current one ends. I hope you find one that appeals to you.

If the powers that be arent going to pick a theme, lets just chose one for June and do it ourselves. Any suggestions?

<--is thinking of a topic....*eyes closed in concentration*

What about a poem that describes a realization that you had about yourself or someone else?
Could be good, could be bad. Something that changed the way you look at things.

*my apologies if this has been done already*

If we have that theme... Oh, I am in.
"Discipline gives total freedom; it allows you to go beyond your limitations,to break through boundaries and reach the highest goal. The path to discipline will not only save a person's life, it will also give it meaning. How? By introducing her to deeper joys and deeper longings, by creating a silence in which the whisper of the heart can be heard. Truly, discipline is the road to liberation."

sounds good to me. So, somebody post it, set a date for submissions to be in and we can get on with it!

Okay, June 1, poetry contest is on. There are only 5 days left in May.

Based on your input people, ragdoll, ShyGreenEyedGrl, buckaroo2001, TheDeSade, thrall, and Daes, I expect an entry from y'all.

As with all contests, parameters must exist.

The theme is how you or someone you know has changed over the past year in some way due to BDSM.
