Everything is working ok now. I have not received any warings from AVG since I posted this warning a few days ago. I have AVG on two computers and Avast on a third. They all reported the same results.

Still having a problem uploading an attachment.... jpg specifically.

Checked the size... tried several sizes. (3)

Loaded as a profile picture no problem, just the Manage Attachment method, failing after pressing the Upload button.

Still had it today. Those pics uploaded to other sites, including photobucket, no problem.

Also tried, from the Manage Attachment page, to upload from the web, i.e., photobucket (upload, not hotlink) and it failed from there as well.

Ozme52,I am meeting with the same difficulty in uploading .jpg files,I keep getting "upload failed" as an error code,even with the smallest .jpg images.

Acces problem solved: As some of you may have noticed I couldn't acces the site for days. The problem was the Vodafone UMTS conscription! As soon as I was back on DSL I could connect.
Why Vodafone blocks acces is unkown to me. The vendor stated it may or may not be caused by a server blocking acces per cellphone numbers. Anyway, perhaps of use for other unlucky desperate ones..

When I was using a Vodafone data connection, by default 'adult' content was filtered (this site almost certainly qualifies!) - I had to provide a credit card (which was billed £1, which they credited to my account) as proof of age before they'd remove that bar. As I recall, it was easier with my current Vodafone account (just select an option in the online account manager).

Just tried to upload again a few mintes ago,Torq.I tried one small jpeg file and it gave the same Upload Error:"Upload of file failed". LOL,here I was thinking there was some sort of filter blocking my Vintage images from being uploaded.But alas several members are having the same error with other images.

Ok, folks, we've narrowed down the possibilities as to where the problem lies with the attachment issue... We are assuming the problem is coming when you're posting into Photo Library. If it's a problem elsewhere & NOT there, let us know. the new issue is that it might take a week or two, since the problem isn't just a simple box that needs to be checked in the Panel (which is, oddly enough, sometimes the problem)...

T's aware of the issue now, so he'll work on it and post back when it's fixed.

Could be delia. Timing is different but the photo uploaded elsewhere (and deleted before it was approved... if you remember) and then I 'decided' a week later to put it in the self-portrait section... and that's where the failure occurs.

Because I currently have an edit button (and it works fine) in the Inroductions threads but not other places.

Hi Oz,

We know exactly what "happened" to the edit button... it has been temporarily disabled (by the Admins) for misuse. When the situations where the misuse occured are cleared up, and other things are handled, Torq will re-evaluate the edit button's use on the main forums areas... until then... I advise spell check for most of the threads *GRINS*

In terms of the attachment issue... it's a whole different bag of beans... the edit button was an affirmative decision to disable, the attachment issue hasn't resolved since we updated the server. It could be up to a week or two before it's resolved, because a.) there are a few odds & ends that are taking precedent over it, b.) it involves T & Tiger doing some time-consuming troubleshooting together, and c.) we don't know the exact root of the problem...

OK,,Thread may seem odd,,simple just merged 4 different but the same 'issue' threads together.

I reference to the "edit" feature still work in progress, feature is currently turned off in most areas and will be put back as soon as the "timing" issue is resolved.

The "attachment" feature,, very odd only a very very small group is having any issue,,this alone makes it 100 times harder to 'fix' or narrow down what actual problem is,, it's in the plate but not a super high priority!

As far as the fatal error that was the server crash issue,,that "at present" is resolved!

As far as the virus alert issue , a problem of this nature is inherent on any internet website, please advise me if you see any of these alerts. This could be multiple issues either your net/computer and/or the net or server issues as well?? Thats a pure unknown until its traced!

Again all PLEASE PLEASE be patient,, issues have there priorities!! I fully understand that somethingmay be "Your" priority but it may NOT be the sites same priority. PLEASE be patient.

This may seem a small issue, but I think maybe a forum banner was changed. I have tried accessing the forum through my homepage that its on, and the internet. The button for deletion of private message receipts is blocked on my computer, so if someone confirms a message, I cannot delete the receipt for it. If anyone has any ideas about how I can remedy this, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

On my screen it looks like there is more empty black area on the right, and that the page is set closer to the left....so you have to scroll right to see the entire post, it is not centered.

Just my 2 cents..

it showed up for me like that too, but after i posted in the forums sometimes it would go back to normal, also sometimes when logging in it would give me two different log in places on the same screen

oh and as my owner mentioned it wont let me put my personalized title back up, when i was made a "Greeter" my "keeping the k in kajira" somhow disapeared and my details section of user cp doesnt have a place to correct it anymore

Could the default "best viewed at nnn resolution" have changed?

Or is there a 'window width' for the size of box within which the post is displayed.

I've even seen an instance where the text overextended the display box with no way to bring it within the boundaries. but not today... I only saw that once or twice yesterday.
