That we have drunk in this image of ourselves through reality tv and political doublespeak that the image no longer reflects us, but we are entranced by it, we it mimic.

Anyone heard of Baudrillard? We have become a simulation of the simulacra. News has become the coverage of falsehoods and gossip, which then drives discourse and takes on its own reality.

These days I am getting my news from facebook & fetlife. they just seem like more tangible news sources.

lol, what do you expect when most of the news is provided by a media dominated by multinational corporations while journalistic ethics have taken an obvious back seat to profit margins and ratings.
