Out of curiosity, was this just a server drive crash, or was it a malicious critter inspired event? It seems a bit more involved than a rebuild/restore.

Was this just another casualty of the bug last week, or have I been abandoned for greener pastures?![]()
Torq,
Thanks for all the hard work. We do appreciate it. But, that's why you get the big bucks, right?

Gee! I make only half that much! Maybe I should get out of construction and into web site admin work!
Thanks, though.

Hi All,
I wonder if anyone has a had a similar problem and what I can do about it...
I use Internet Explorer on Windows Vista. I have it set up to delete my browsing history and cookies every time I exit. And it does delete every site I visited, except for this one! Numerous times, I've gone in and manually deleted the browsing history, and it's the same story -- one little (glaring) website always remains -- BDSM LIbrary. Restarting does not help. I have no clue how to rectify this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
ready
Are you logging off this site when you leave or just closing the browser?
I don't know why it would make a difference, but not all cookies are created equal. lol
Also, try going to your home site before closing and manually delete this site from the history (under faves if using IE8.) That's always worked for me when I surf on a borrowed PC.

Thanks for the response, Ozme! I do log out whenever I leave here. Whenever I try to manually delete BDSM Library from the history, it just shows back up again when you go to look at the history. It's really weird! Thank you for your suggestions!
Did you place a check mark in the "Remember me" box, when you logged in? I'm not sure, but that might be your problem. You could try logging out, removing the check mark and logging back in.
If that doesn't work you may want to try resetting your browser to the default settings (there should be an option for this), then clearing your cache, history, and cookies.
If all else fails, you could try a different browser. Chrome seems to work well with the site these days.

Thanks so much for your reply, chipmunk. The "Remember Me" box seems to have nothing to do with it -- I've played around with it. I reset my browser to the default settings like you suggested -- and the darn site is still in my history! It's strange. I'm not familiar with Chrome -- maybe I will have to look into it. I really liked IE until this. Thanks again for your help!
I registered on 9-13 and apparently something happened and it got deleted. I reregistered. Why did this happen?
Read the opening post on this thread. There was a major crash.

Hi there,
When I go to my profile and search for all my posts or threads started by me, I get only a few results back. Is there a way to solve this problem or are older posts deleted?
Thanks
JD
Has anyone else run into a problem when logging out of the site? I get an error message each time, regardless of whether I'm using Firefox or Chrome. I actually do get logged out, but the always with an error message.
I'm having similar problems but with logging in. I can log in at the forum but when I go to find my bookshelves it say's I'm not logged in.
And all is now OK. If you fixed it, many thanks. If it was my incompetence.... Ooops!
Hello,
the following problem arose over the last few days:
Trying to submit a post (site says that I am logged in), I get this message:
You do not have permission to perform this action. Please refresh the page and login before trying again.
Refreshing the site kicks me out/shows me that I'm already kicked out.![]()
Quick reply does that to me too. Advanced reply after re-login usually works.
I am writing this with "Advanced reply" -- works, thanks.
The problem is indeed limited to" Quick reply", editing (all kinds of posts), messages on profile sites etc.
I keep trying to edit my other post but every time I do it says I dont have permission to do that and I get logged off.
First, log in with "Remember Me" checked. It's an idiosyncrasy of this board, you will get logged off and (and sometimes back) on automatically.
Second, some sub-fora don't allow any editing. None of them after 30 minutes.
Third, if you do write a post or edit, and are disallowed, if given the option, use the immediately provided logon screen to preserve and submit your post.
Good luck.
