    Tojo forgot one thing...
    If you are running Windows XP you need to disable your restore function and delete the saved restore data. Sometimes there are nasties that can hide in there that the virus scanner won't always catch.

    I consider myself a gifted amateur at computing, but with this post I don't know what you are talking about. Which restore data? The recycle bin, System Restore Point, or something completely different?
