my heart

so quietly it sits,
feather flutter beat
of wing tip
on skin,
waiting for the next breath.

Wild, feral,
strewn astray by life
and cast aside,
hidden in matted
leaf for protection

now seeking home
through eyes closed
yet open in dreams,
to be cupped,
precarious

yearns to be tender
stroked, stoked,
and free fettered
by confinements
of the untouched.

my soul

a minstrel,
an echoed tail wisp,
ethereal,
seeking canyons
stalactite horizon,

caverns devoid depth.
Haunting, eerie
chorded starvation
through decades
of denial,

seeking mortality,
unity of being,
home for the beast
of song.
Can you hear her howl?

A silent keen,
ricochets
of desire
to no longer sift
through afterlife.

my mind

Sharp, inquisitive,
a book half full
opened to the next empty page,
exhaling to complete
a symbol,

looped letter
cohesive with form,
a word interconnected.
Diamond to graphite,
liquefied gold,

bonded, propel
opulent correlation
to fulfill chapters
of a lifetime...

so that I may
realize
this transition
is for us.

my body

a tempestuous storm,
meteorites raging,
aphelia
seeking sun,
gravitational pull


gone awry,
the milky way
frothed, disoriented,
needing formation
and impact,

fleshly configuration,
god I beg you
send an orbital
determination
of grinding minerals

intensified to sinuous
solution,
an elegant embrace,
a new star
fluctuating...
