I am interested in discussing a story in the Second Story Challenge - Eliza.

I really enjoy this one, so despite its very obvious problems, I gave it a rating of 10.

I know that's more than it's worth in terms of the story per se, but the author could easily, in my opinion, 'compete with published authors'. Ok, I know that's not the criteria for the competition, but since people who know a lot more about it than me are doing the judging, I figured it didn't really matter all that much. I'm sure others will enjoy it also, despite its problems.

It's frustrates me no end that the author seems to have rushed this story, probably to get it posted in time. It just seems like such a crying shame.

Now, I'm simply dying to find out who wrote it, so I can read more of his or her work, and hopefully a revises edition of this one.

Something else I noticed with the competition, too, is nearly all the stories began with high ratings from both regular and first time reviewers, but then dropped off. I looked for a rhyme or reason for this, but apart from the one mention above, couldn't see one.

Alex.
