I think I mis-spoke. I dislike the Anime style because I do noy like the exaggeration that is a part of the style. I actually prefer a more realistic approach to art, and when I occasionally sit down and draw I like to make things as realistic as possible.

When shading I actually imagine the light as a point sourece, and try to define the various delicacies involved. I have almost have an engineering eye when I draw, so things tend to be very precise.

The only thing I can suggest is to try different things that you like until you see something that works just the way you want. Your drawings are good, and they are worth looking at.

By the way, do not worry about coloring. B&W has more impact anyway. And just color the way you see things, after all, it is art. lol
