I have eclectic tastes, but will choose a Science Fiction book before just about anything else.

Why? Becuase Science Fiction is a genre that is about people. It is about the impact of science and technology and how it affects people, both individuals and society. The best Science Fiction can span galaxies and civilaizations. No other genre has the scope or the potential.

Congratulations for making it past Ruby.

I too enjoy the world(s) of SciFi though I cringe at the melding of Scifi with pure fantasy. Still I can enjoy Tad Williams or Raymond Fiest without too much trouble.
While we're here mayhap you could fill me in on your writing goals; what you're up to now, what you hope to gain here, the usual bibliophile stuff. Feel free to PM or e-mail me both are open in my profile.

This question is left over from when Wabbit-1 was running level 4. I'd do well to change the title I suppose. I would direct you to the ice breaker thread whilst I contemplate our course.

English does not borrow from other languages. English follows other languages into dark alleys, raps them over the head with a cudgel, then goes through their pockets for loose vocabulary and spare grammar.
