Clevernick, let me take back what I said about the narrator not trying to understand Lynn. This whole segment was about that very topic. I think what I meant was that you are true to a first-person perspective. Your narrator doesn't have any *extraordinary* powers of understanding Lynn--that's part of what's great about the story. Still, I think it's unusual that we know the Dom's feelings more than the sub's.

Also, I read the story backwards, starting with Part 3. Reading it in order, it makes more sense how "S" first watches her reactions, then begins to interpret them.

Anyway, it's hot. Off to read Part 4!
