Both Sarah and Lynn capitulate far more easily than I'd expect them to, but for different reasons. The real reason is that the voices in my head told me to do it this way!

LOL. When I wrote this story I almost felt, as Salieri says of Mozart, like I was taking dictation from God. When a character did something that surprised me, I just wrote it down anyway, and looked for the reason for it later.

I see an irony of Lynn and S trying not to fall in love, too, but I didn't want to take the story in that direction. Both too obvious, and not worthy of either of them. Even if they fell in love, they'd hate each other eventually; they are just not good companions.
