I really appreciate the good feedback, both of you. Another confession to go along with the "voices in my head". Chapters 1 and 2 have been a recurring fantasy for months, and so were very well developed in my head when I began. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 seemed to roll out effortlessly once 1 and 2 were on paper. I think I did them all in one day.

After that it got harder, and I actually had to start thinking, plotting, and editing. I had to second-guess myself. I was no longer sure of the characters or what they'd want. Things slowed down a lot. I've made it up to 11 now, and I think I'm happy with 11, but 12 promises to be a challenge. 12 will be a climax, and probably also a conclusion, unless that drags out to one more part.

So from 6 onward, it's actually writing, rather than taking dictation directly from inner demons. And honestly, I've never written before. I hope it's just as good, but if it's not, please help with gentle nudges and criticisms.
