I agree that Sarah is needed, since Lynn is too compliant and too silent to teach S much more. Not that Lynn is by any means giving up her initiative! She's just looking for clever ways to do things within the rules. Plus she really gets off on the treatment.
I'm glad that comes through, and it's perceptive of S to notice it, but he gets bitten by it badly in the end. I'm working on chapter 11 where he needs to soften up and communicate very carefully with Sarah, and he's afraid to because he needs to be tough, and it leads them to a dangerous misunderstanding.I love it that S is falling for [Sarah], but if he wants to keep her, he has to stay tough.
People are more complicated than they seem, and just because being tough and controlling was required on Friday and Saturday, doesn't mean it's what she'll always need. But people don't always learn the easy way either.
