If you are serious about art I would give you this advice, stop copying other people's images unless there is a specific artistic reason for doing so. Don't worry about technique and how much detail you can duplicate. Draw or paint the things that excite you. If you find a subject you are passionate about go with it. If you want to draw images of bondage draw them from life and experience. I suppose it all comes down to whether you want to be an illustrator and just illustrate the world around you or whether you want to communicate your own ideas and feelings.Originally Posted by BabySub
This may sound harsh but its not meant to be, its honest advice. Don't become a member of what an old lecturer of mine called 'The Dead Tree Society' of art or I suppose 'The Dead Hand Society'. I know you aren't going to like this but I'm not meaning to be cruel. Go to art galleries and look at great paintings and you'll see they aren't overburdened with detail. Look hard at them and ask yourself what the artist is trying to express.
If you aren't serious about your art then ignore this advice and put me down for an idiot for thinking you wanted genuine feedback.
