I'm offended too!
I thought BRITAIN was supposed to be Little America! :-(
And while we are totally off-topic...Certainly, in Britain (England doesn't exist in this context)Fox: Our Prime Minister (not president) is elected from within his own political party, which must win a majority of representation across the entire country. This is the same in England and other countries which follow the British model. The situation where a president can have 1,000,000 fewer votes than his rival but be declared the winner because he won a tiny poll in a single area, cannot happen in our system.
1) We can and HAVE elected a government/party with less votes than its opposition.
2) Party leaders are NOT elected by his party members.
3) A party can gain 10%+ of the electorate and achieve NO representation in parliament.
Is it any wonder so many countries model themselves on the British Parliamentary System? LOL
