On my circuit, checking the doors and alarms that night, it appeared that someone was outside one of the side entrances. Waking Dee because I might need the medical assistance she could provide, plus, as a long experienced medical professional, she was fast with her hands. Nice to have at your back.Originally Posted by Jadetiger
Once the doorway was no longer tyled, we looked out and grasped the individual off the stoop. Bringing her inside, I quickly resealed and tyled the door for the night. Dee and I got the individual into the clinic, and quickly worked to find out how we could help. She (we now were certain, heh heh)
did not show any signs of injury, and her breathing, eye responses, and blood pressure were in normal ranges. We transferred her to a bed, rather than an inspection table; covered her and allowed her to sleep. I left Dee and A to care for her, but not to allow her to leave the room, just to notify me.
I wandered about for a while, uncertain, confused. I felt a great weight upon my head, and not sure why. My head was splitting with pain, since I'd put that woman down. Finding an observation chair, I flopped into it and closed my eyes against the pain.
Images began running around in my brain. I couldn't seem to pin them down, as though they were being fed to me. Feelings of despair, pain, and lonliness; echoes of something horrible. Eventually, I collapsed to the floor.
I laid there a long time, I was told. Elizabeth had found me; said she heard my pain in her mind. Elizabeth and yellowrose carried me into the clinic. Dee was confused what the problem was; she asked Elizabeth how she knew, and was informed about the mental call. None the less, neither the stranger nor Lord Chuck were able to answer, nor did they awaken.
