When Caitlin came to Earth, she came to Earth with a bang. Her heart yearned for her children. She hadn’t seen them for a few days, and she missed them terribly. And though Mastermike loved her, and she him, she still yearned for her husband.
‘Caitlin. Why so sad?’ asked Darkgirl.
Caitlin sighs and tears well in her eyes. Mandy came closer to her and cuddled her.
‘Miss your family. Don’t you.’
‘Yes. Mastermike is so tender and kind, but I miss my family.’
‘Go to them,’ prompted Darkgirl.
‘How! I have this damn collar on, and its got a tracking device’.
‘Easy,’ Mandy said brightly. ’I know where all the keys are kept. There’re in Mobius’s room. I saw them in there when I was waiting for him. That’s the time when you were caught coming back to the Dungeon’.
‘Oh Mandy! I hate to ask this, but do you think you could get them so I can get this collar off?’ Caitlin implored.
‘Sure. Come on’ answered Mandy without hesitation.
They hurried towards Mobius room. Mandy knocked, but there was no answer. Caitlin and Darkgirl took up position to look for anyone coming, and Mandy entered the room. Mandy just opened the door to come out, when Mobius rounded the corner.
Quickly, Darkgirl bounded down towards him.
‘Ah! My lovely Dark angel, what are you doing here, instead of in the kitchen, whipping up some fine food affair?’ he said. ‘We caren’t let those culinary skills of yours go to waste!’
‘Oh my Lord, I was wondering if you could give me a tour of torture chamber number 9.’
‘Mmmm. Torture chamber number 9. Interesting that you should ask for that one. It’s my favourite. Well actually they are all very interesting my dear, but that one holds special memories. Maybe if you’re a good girl, we can re-enact some of my fantasies, opps, sorry, memories. Brah ha ha ha ha,’ he cackled as He and Darkgirl turned, and walked back down the hallway.
Darkgirl turned and gave Caitlin a look, and rolled her eyes. Caitlin was already eternally grateful to Darkgirl. Mandy slipped out of Mobius‘s room and both she and Caitlin hurried down the corridor to fine a room that would afford them privacy, while Mandy sound the key, to set Caitlin free.
Once free from the collar, Caitlin hurried out of the Dungeon, and headed straight for her cottage. When she reached the cottage, there was no one home. She was puzzled. She hurried off to her neighbour, and pounded on the old woman‘s door.
After what seemed like, forever, the door swung opened to reveal a shriven up old lady.
‘Mrs Peabody. Do you know where my husband, and children are?’
‘Oh yes dear. Your husband had a feeling you weren’t coming back, and so he sold off the children as midget clowns to the circus that travelled through here, and he ran off with the tavern wench Big Bertha.’.
‘Big Bertha’, Caitlin echoed. ‘Just wait until I get my hands on him. Do you know where the circus is now?’
‘Naw. Just headed off towards that away,’ she said as she pointed down the road.
‘How long ago did they pass here?’
‘Three days ago’
Caitlin took off down the road. How fast could a circus travelled. Not fast she reasoned. She was hopeful that she could catch up with her children.
‘Be careful. I hear Dracubius is on a recruitment drive.’ Mrs Peabody called out to Caitlin, who was already out of earshot.
