Hello A/all,
I'm not currently active in the BDSM community, I have a little bit of exposure from past experiences, but I wouldn't consider myself qualified as a journeyman so to speak.
I do have friends who are active in the community, and they share their experiences with me. I have some participation in the community because of them, but I would call it more of a supporting role(i.e. the friend that is there for them, and offers them company).
I registered mainly because I don't understand some of the experiences that they've had, and would just like a place where I can go to seek qualified opinions from people of experience.
I've been told that a "rough rider" is a gay male top, while my name bears a striking resemblance to that term, it is not an indication of my sexuality.

I have always been attracted to these sorts of ideas, but until I got married, there wasn't anyone I would have trusted enough to explore this. Today at work my boss hosted a lunch so that the employees - many of whom are new - could get to know each other a little better. As we sat and ate our Chinese take-out, he asked us to go around the room and tell the others "something about ourselves that most people don't know". I almost choked on my eggroll thinking how this was just about the only thing people don't know about me, and wondering what their reaction would be to such a revelation. Who knows - maybe I'd have found a playmate!
