Thanks for the welcome, Traveller. Yes, the quote is from "Dick Tracy", although the reason you may not recognize it is because it's from the musical version (so it's Madonna's lyrics). The whole song sums up my feelings about BDSM so well that I couldn't resist taking the name (or keeping the quote for both sites).

I've slowed down on my writing (hence the delay in posting additional chapters of "Yard Work" primarily due to being caught up in one of the Abductor classics (Outlaw & Redhead Sue's story). I can't bring myself to stop reading, which I'm sure you'll understand.

By the way, thank you for the kind comments on my photo. Took a lot of convincing to get DH to agree to let me post it (let alone get him to take it!) so it's nice to get some feedback.

I wasn't aware that the lyrics belonged to Madonna. That explains her playing Breathless M. in the movie. Thanks for the pointer. I loved the damsel in distress scene in that movie, a lot. It was soo... film noir.

Yes, "Outlaw & Redhead Sue's Story" is a classic, indeed. One can't stop reading it ( literally ). Actually, on my half, it was the main inspiration on the story we're writing together with Lin.

Just to clarify - the song I quote in my signature ("Hanky Panky") and many of the others from "Dick Tracy" were written by Madonna (with Patrick Leonard), but several of the other songs in the show (including my favorites "More" and "Sooner or Later") were written by the most amazing composer/lyricist of all time: Stephen Sondheim.

And NO, I'm not biased in that opinion just because I'm a musical theater actress. LOL!

Here is my, perhaps belated, formal introduction. In the month or so since I registered, I have found the forum to be fun, sexy, intelligent, and friendly, and I'm happy to be a member!

My name is Lisa, I'm 26, and live in a suburb of Chicago (that narrows it down!). I began reading in the story library about 2 years ago.
