Thawk sat for what seemed like hours in his presentation kneel: knees apart slightly, hands behind back, sword laid out in front of him and his head bowed down upon the sword. He waited for the Mistress who spoke inside his head and commanded his presentation. However, after a long period of waiting, the Mistress was gone, just seem to vanish from Thawk's mind.
So, Thawk began to wonder if this had been one of his dreams, moments of remembering that he had been having often these days.
Just as he stood up and sheathed his sword a sense of danger entered and he knew that someone other them himself was in danger. He opened his mind and reached out to whom ever was in trouble, and caught a glimpse of a very powerful and beautiful Tigress, he knew it was this beautiful creature who was in trouble and so were many children.
He then sent his own thoughts to this beautiful Tigress, warning her of danger that was lurking her way. He wasn't sure his message was getting though, for she was not only powerful physically but had great strength mentally. As Thawk continued to send a warning and reach out to the Tigress he saw many different creatures attack her. Several of these creatures tried to get past the Tigress to get to where the children were staying and the tigress put herself between them and the door that separated them from the children.
Thawk took off running not carrying who this Tigress was, but only knowing it was his duty somehow to protect those in need, especially this Tigress and the children she protected. As he ran he kept the mind lock open and sensed this beautiful warrior growing weary and the horrible creatures growing in numbers.
As he ran towards those in trouble he sensed this Tigress calling out to someone named Yuri. He assumed it was her life mate, or protector but also knew this Yuri was no where in mind's range. Thawk arrived swinging his sword in all directions taking out several of the creatures at once, knowing he must hurry for the great Tigress was growing even weaker. He took out the last creature just as this horrible creature stabbed the Tigress with a dagger.
Thawk caught this magnificent creature and wrapped her into his wings as she fell to the floor. Thawk could feel her life’s blood draining out of her, onto his arms and wings. The Tigress’s eye’s looked his face, her beautiful eyes caught his and held them.
“Do not worry Mistress. I will let no further harm come to you or the children”.
Thawk did not know why but as he caught this Tigress and said those words, he truly meant them, more then anything he had ever said in his life. He admittedly wrapped this Tigress up in his wings lifting her up and filling her with healing energy at the same time. He then carried her to a room just besides where he knew the children to be and laid her upon a down mattress. He whispered to the Tigress; "Mistress I have stopped your bleeding, but I must go find an infirmary or kitchen so I may heal your wounds. I will also check on your children to make sure they are safe. Do not worry, I will return as quick as I can, just rest."
Thawk stood to leave, turned back, he felt his heart ache but did not know why.
