Yes, and thank you for your entry. Please, I’m sorry to have not gotten back to you sooner--I know I should have. Mostly, thank you for your, obvious, time and effort writing and submitting your entry.

You have, however, put me in a bit of quandary, since your piece is not just a little over the word limit very much so. I guess you must have just got carried away. It’s very good too, so, are you sure you wouldn’t like to consider posting it in the regular story section of the library?

This thread (competition) has only one other entry. Another very good one, but I’m just not sure how fair it would be to ask readers to choose the best between 500 words and 2,000 equally good pieces.

I’ve messaged the author of the other entry a few days back asking permission to post their entry with their name. I haven’t heard back yet, but I ask you also Qmoq: If you don’t wish to post your piece in the main story section of this site, may I post it here, on this thread?

So, only two entries were received. I don’t know, maybe people are just too busy at this time or year, or maybe it just wasn’t such a good idea to begin with? Well, you never know if you don’t give it a go.
