"Come in."

As she entered my office I could see a momentary confusion cross her face. Instead of the typical massive desk and tall leather chair most managers preferred, my minimalistic workspace placed manager and prospect far closer together, not quite what one would call intimate, but totally unexpected.

I had gone one farther though, in preparation for this particular interview. Instead of placing the interviewee at a psychological disadvantage with the typical shorter chair... I had replaced it with an oak barstool from my private bar.

Her consternation was obvious as she needed to figure out how to climb onto the stool, not look awkward, and not expose herself, as she sat there with her crotch level with my eyes. She had even worn a short skirt. This was going to be easier than I initially expected.

"Have a seat and tell me about yourself. Why do you want this job? Are you truely "dedicated" to making a career here at Mason Designs?"
