I was taken off guard when I realized you were so close to me. I began to feel slightly uncomfortable and I could not tell if it was from your proximity, the sudden feeling of heat in the office or my unexpected reaction to the photos in the slideshow. I squirmed in my seat hoping that you would not notice that my bosy was starting to be covered in a shiny gloss, or that my breathing had increased.
A small sigh escaped my lips as I felt your breath on the back of my neck. Mortified, I hoped you did not notice. Mentally, I gave myself shit, trying to bring myself under control. What was it about those pictures that was making me react so? How unprofessional I felt that I had been affected.
I was shocked to hear you say that I started right away. It took a moment to sink in. "T-t-tomorrow, right," I stammered as I hopped down off the stool, my mind racing. Determined to make it out of your office with my professional integrity intact, I shook your hand as I listened to your last minute instructions.
"Thank you Mr Mason," I said as I headed out the door of your office. "I'll be ready."
I rushed home, giddy with excitement over this new adventure. I quickly packed a bag containing a variety of business suits and acceptable evening wear for business dinners. As an after thought I threw in some of my personal luxuries - candles, bubble bath, perfume and my short silk robe.
I was to excited to sleep and was up hours before my alarm. I was ready and waiting for you to pick me up so we could be on our way.
