I do understand your dilema in making choices for your character. It does seem difficult to make decisions in that way...could that perhaps be a part of our submissive or dominant traits? We depend so much on trust and permission going both ways that it may be inherent for you to feel as if your charcter feels the same.

I think that's a good point. If I were role-playing the scene with my submissive partner instead of just writing it from the POV of the dominant character, I would have negotiated it with her beforehand and made sure that nothing was going to happen that she wasn't willing to deal with. But you can't really do that with a character in a story. It isn't like I can call the writers from the show and ask them if they think the character would be okay with it.
