Very Good Euryliea,
I’ll suspect greed was the choice here but I see open possibilities for lust and gluttony as well. Ok we all know greed can be destructive but I wonder. Might it ever serve a higher purpose?
Three protagonist for you my dear, all quite human with an assortment of faults and a few redeeming characteristics.
One is the victim of unfulfilled potential who drowns her sorrow in food. She need not be the typical glutton, you can make her quite specific in her uncontrollable appetites but her greed is oral in nature.
Another is a bit of a coward who latched onto a wealthy lover and finds solace for her frustrations in the accumulation of goods and/or power. She’s a wild card in the threesome and the one who changes the most in the end.
And lastly your heroine who’s lust is to possess people, to be loved and adored by anyone she sets her eyes on. She is the one who is going to show us that greed can be good. It’s up to you to do that in a relatively subtle way preferably with a nice twist.
Now to the technical matters,
You will use all seven words you chose, three of them in the sentences you already provided. The fifth sentence you provided will be read by one of your characters, from a book with a title that will make us all smile ('Zen and the Art of Shibari' is already taken).
This is your only hard and fast rule. Keep it under 5000 words, the tighter the better.
It’s an ice breaker so don’t take it too seriously, play with it, twist the rules without breaking them and have fun. Take your time with this I’ll be traveling from June 7th to the 23rd and my internet connections will be spotty at best. Other competent mentors will be checking up on you so don’t slack off too much.
Ciao for now
Mad Lews
