Change. For months at a time there would be no change in her life. The little room, nurses coming in at a regular and set schedule, the doctor appearing on time. She knew everything the nurses would say, and even the good doctor. Nothing really changed. It was not that she was incapable of adjusting to change. At the moment though she was completely lost. Now she felt like she was at the center of a whirlwind. Cian was the only thing that was still in her life.
Krista stared at him as he paced. After a few minutes she walked forward, waiting for him to stop in front of her, going up on her toes slightly she lightly nipped at his chin once. Then turned and headed back in the direction she had come from.
In many ways he was not like the good doctor. Yet she still knew when she struck a nerve. To see him at a loose of what to do with her she had thought the invitation to hurt her would have been enough. Now she could see it had only made things worse. At a loose of what to do to make the situation any better she simply walked away. It hurt her to do it but in her current state of mind it was the best she could offer.
