thanks for the update and all the hard work involved with keeping such a fine site running smoothly also was anyone else's computer blocking a trojan when accessing the story's page the other day, or was that what was causing the server issues?

I know what it is like to have your hard drive crash and server...

It can take days to gt it back up and many hours hard work and determination with some frustration mixed inbetween and alot of sighs of disappiontment when you find somethings else isn't working right as well...

So i turly appreciate all you are doing and will be very patient... cause i do understand how hard it can be...

1) Still can't get into chat... just idling on the forum page from which I clicked it.

2) Haven't been able to upload an image. It's failing from both my computer and from photobucket, so the server here is the common denominator.

Oz, chat's up & working... try clearing out your cookies, logging out of forums & back in. People are finding that clears their cache issues on the old chat addy that went down... also try clearing your ISP entirely: some are holding onto the old chat addy as well...

As for pics... I'll have T look into that... seems bizarre... where is the error coming?

Last night mine blocked a trojan...didn't try again until now and all seems well

quick update,,,so far so good!!!! Server / hard drive repaired systems back on line things appear stable. Chat back on as well,,etc,,, IF there are any oddities PLEASE send me a PM!!!

ALSO a few have noticed that you can no longer 'edit' a post,, at present until we can fix some issues with that feature it has been temp. suspended,,,, will get it back updated ASA.

Getting virus alerts when trying to acess a site I have been a member to for about a year or so isnt something I consider safe for my poor computer or anything else for that matter, and neither is the rerouts.

In order to determine if it's a virus, your program should tell you the name of the virus, not just where it is.

That way others can determine if we have had the same problem, with the same file.

Also see if when you use an alternate browser, rather than Internet explorer, if you get the same result. If you don't it's application based, if you do, it's probably server based.

I only access with Firefox, and I have NOT gotten any virus alerts. My anti-virus and firewall software is kept up-to-date, so if it's there I would expect to get an alert.
One nice feature I've found with Firefox is a plug-in which lets the user control all Java scripting. I can allow scripting for BDSM Library without allowing it for the ads on the pages. I can also allow cookies for the library but block them for the advertisers.
And no, I don't own stock!

It, in fact, may be a trojan... and it named itself after a cookie.

note that it's not a dot com but rather and underscore com, the parenthetical (1) furthers that thought for me...

I use only IE with McAfee, McAfee Site Advisor, and the Microsoft default firewall and have seen nothing amiss here at the library.

Still having a problem uploading an attachment.... jpg specifically.

Checked the size... tried several sizes. (3)

Loaded as a profile picture no problem, just the Manage Attachment method, failing after pressing the Upload button.

Still had it today. Those pics uploaded to other sites, including photobucket, no problem.

Also tried, from the Manage Attachment page, to upload from the web, i.e., photobucket (upload, not hotlink) and it failed from there as well.

mine´s with Firefox too and I get it at home and not at work but that is perhaps because I have other firewalls and virusprotections home and at work.
I also expect to get a warning when something is up since I also keep all the protection up to date.
AVG is my antivirus and I find it real good.

I got no edit function and I use Firefox if that makes any difference.
