It was wonderful to see Krista's system washing itself of the medications. She was teasing, jolly, sleeping soundly, and genuinely fun to be around. The vacation was working... hadn't talked about the revenge in days.

A trip to "Devil's Tower" in Wyoming was the next day's side-trip. Rusty looked out the window and said, "Hey, 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind!!'"

We chatted about the movie using this natural place for a setting. About spending an hour walking around the tower, watching people climbing it. And she was excited to see squirrels and other little things taking care of squirrelly businesses. We even saw a small fox... and she wanted to try and catch it, 'it's so cute!'

Another side trip took us to the Reptile Garden, and we enjoyed the snake and wild animal shows. Lots of crowd was coming in just as we were leaving, so we missed the pressure. A wild bear park kept us in the car, driving though... although Krista was scared when a 10 foot tall guy was looking in her window, hoping for handouts. That's why they told you to keep your windows closed.

We started on back east and stopped in the Badlands, checking out the rattle snakes and beautiful rocks. Swinging south into Nebraska, we saw the world's largest ball of string and Carhenge. That was all there was to THAT state. And Iowa was not much more interesting. Moving back to our cabin took the last two days, mostly of highway driving. We made an exception shortly before home, enjoying the world's biggest water park's waves and a miniature golf course with 96 holes. Didn't quite finish the course.

Every day was one of sharing and growing closer, each night was various varieties and levels of lovemaking. Some were wild, biting and spankings, while others were just peaceful and slow. Lovely, relaxing days. We both had farmer tans, and were enjoying the time together.

We got back to the cabin after two wonderful weeks, and got our notes together; time to plan seriously.
