Hi good folks at BDSM library!

I joined a couple of weeks ago, and have been meaning to get off my ass and post something, so this'll have to do until I get my review threads under way.

At one time or another we are all in the lurker mode.
First, go to the story area and read. See what it is that you like. What is it that really turns you on.
Second, collect your thoughts and work through your fantasies in your mind. Develop what it is that turns you on.
Third, then take a stab. Put your thoughts down on paper and send the story in. That is where the greatest pleasure comes, in the creation.
We are all pretty kindly when it comes to criticism (well most of us are). When a story is really bad most of us just don't review it rather than be nasty. And when your ideas are good, or your writing is good, you get the greatest feel in the world.

I do two kinds of writing. I admire the work of John Willie and have completed two chapters of the six to eight it will take to finish his classic about pony girls, the ‘Magic Island’ serial of the 1940’s and 1950’s.

My other writings are from my fantasies. Sharing these will take some encouragement from this group and some help in editing. Many of these have a theme of meeting. My great wish before I die is to talk with a female D&S switch. It is my next small step out of the closet.

Several of my meeting stories are short,l less than the 10,000 word object set for the site. Does anyone know if a submission of a collection of short stories about a theme would be welcome?

I do not talk for the Webmaster but as an avid reader of all sorts of fair your work would be most welcome.

By the By is that magic island available on the net as an Ebook or txt file?

I'm probably not the one to say this, having no official position here, but my understanding was that the limit was ten thousand characters (about two thousand words). I know that stories under 10k are sometimes accepted for posting to the Library, although not always, and I don't know just how the exceptions are determined.

Jinn does know, however, and he is very approachable and amazingly helpful.

Also, there are places in the Community section of the Forum where people (Mobius, Lady Amanda and others) have posted very short stories as posts to a thread. There is no formal review process for thread posts, but you'll probably get some kind of feedback (probably, "More! We want more!").

Another thing you coould do for very short stories, is to post them together as a collection, one after the other, so it takes more than the required 10k.
