I once ran

moaning thrashing sleep unbidden
gasping my heart pounds
desires kept once hidden

clasped now to breast these arms
bound with chains my own making
legs writhe with passion as i run

the dreamscape watercolor tears
pursued by that which i both crave
and fear

i hear him coming pursuit is near
my flesh crawls loathing
my loins with need

chase me hem me in
taste my conquest here
take from me that false shield

and lay me bare
ravished an empty husk
then what will i hold dear

hold me down
i can't i must not give in submit
violate with every thrust

those things once thought real
and clung to keep
gone like august leaves

broken beaten weak and soft
scream in pain and cry in lust
frustration heats within

my body betrays the truth
comes forth insanity
eyes i once fled

where now am lost
captured embraced undone
ambrosia i have seen

in this the mystery
i who once ran
such ecstasy

submission utterly
a love so filled with might
his dominion set me free
