well i was on another bdsm community site, and someone posted something about a slut, and what they thought a slut was. i would like to hear what everyone else has to say about it. i know a few ppl here dont like those names, or are into name calling. so i would say it doesnt have to be the word slut, it could be whore, wench, or cumdumpster whatever word u want to use but what do you think one is?

Well i think the answer would be diffent for the slut and for people who are around her or him. I think a slut is someone that sees themself free to explore what ever feels right for them . not worried about others definitions or right or wrong. To enjoy herself with other and explore anything and everything that strikes her sexual interest.

As to others perception of what a slut is that all depends on context. the angry boyfriend calling someone a slut is nothing like the admiring onlookers watching a girl please herself with an audience watching, so its a matter of perspective.

i agree with Him, i feel its a term of "endearment" from Him, but from someone who doesnt know shit about me, yes i would put them into their place. i cant stand disrespect, from myself to someone or someone to me. i guess it does come down to, "Who says it, and in what context"

In my opinion, a slut is someone who longs for, lusts, needs and/or can't get the thought of sexual relations or acts out of their heads. They will go to extreems to fulfil their sexual needs. The more of their time such thoughts dominate their minds, the more of a slut they are.

I have also found that many people, in my opinion, over use the word slut, inserting it into the end (or beginning) of every statement during a scene. For me, name calling starts to lose it's significance when it is used as punctuation.

Funny if you had asked me this question a few years ago, the answer would have been quite different. i think that growing up i learned from some very sexually repressed people that a "slut" was someone that was promiscuous. However now, i would have to say that a "slut" is someone that is willing to explore all of the possibilities...someone that is open to new experiences, and is willing to leave their comfort zones for the one that they love and trust.

I agree. I've noticed a lot of people here saying that only their dominant may call them names without risk of being bitch slapped. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me (sort of). I don't care who calls me names. If they don't know me and say something that isn't true, why should I get upset enough to do violence? They're just ignorant. If they say something that is true, why should I be angry at someone for telling the truth? If the truth hurts, it's time to take a good look at yourself in a mirror and decide if you like what you see or if something needs to change. If you like what you see, that's really all that matters, and whoever doesn't like it can go fuck themselves!

I somewhat agree with this. There are some names that only my master may call me (I am his and only his Dirty Little Slut). But he also knows that there are things he doesn't call me, such as a whore. I think, now anyway, that a slut is a woman who is open and honest with her sexuality. It may be a woman who likes being with many partners, or just someone who likes doing what she is told. A whore, on the other hand, at least in my life, is a negetive name that calls to mind someone who uses sex as a trade for money or drugs or whatever they are looking for. Well now I have not seen that in years.
I will sit here and contemplate the years I have been in this, not to mention when I started. Wow it has been a long time. You all have very good ideas as to what you think a slut is but remember that any words can be used in the wrong and correct manner. Also it is perception value, first the party receiving the term has to think about what it means to them.

Okay so first of all all of you have to look upon the factors of perception.

To me:

Slut - Slave Longterm Under Training. A sexually driven person.
Whore - A person who is sexually unbiased.
Prostitute - Business woman in the sex industry.
Not to be confused with the Porn Industry.
Harlot - Business woman in the sex industry in the 1700 and earlier.
Also a really wicked term just like wench.

So the next thing I would like to say is that I am mostly a literal person. Given that I do not call people by names they are not or not being in a scenario based situation.

IH has always used the term slut whether it be in play fun or as a pet name and has always meant it in an endearing or sexual way and i always enjoyed it and have refferred to myself that way for certain things.
but as usual being different from the norm lol recently i have quite a bit of discomfort with it when its non-sexual, and can no longer do it,im just not comfortable with it anymore.
i feel like im insulting myself possibly even degrading myself and feel that it's true in the genuine definition of the word.

You may presume that anything I say (in virtually any thread) that could be presumed to infringe a limit... doesn't.

So be assured... if I were to ask "Are you my slut and would you do anything I ask of you..." you could clearly say "yes... and more..." because I won't ask you to go beyond your limits... and you might well be willing to do more than I ask.

slut is a very common term already i think, but it's definately a very emotive one and is one that can be taken from one extreme to the other and if you're not sure of someone i dont think it's a word to be used lightly.
