If you want some male input (what a lovely way to say it) personally I like a forest down there. Let's start as nature intended and if the Dom want's the trees cut then he can order a deforestation. It's easier and quicker to cut the trees than wait for them to grow.

To "cut the tree" isn't exactly what I would do, I suggest only cutting the weeds around it
