I had made the comment about comments like that keeping douche companies in business.

I can not express how upset it makes me when women are made to feel that thier bodies are dirty in some way. Even our advertising is states it when they talk about those "not so fresh" days and flogs products that have a "spring fresh" or "cherry" scent. Please I don't want to smell like a fruit salad.

The other side of the coin is that some men feel its ok to mock and make degrading comments about it because they hear it all around them growing up. I can remember being a teen ager with that fragile teen ego about my body and hearing guys make fun of some of the girls that the considered slutty by saying they smelled like fish and so on, I am sure we can all think of stuff we have heard or maybe even said. It took years for me to get over being afraid that the man I was with would be repusled by the way my body smelled.

I have never had any complaints about it and one of the sexiest things a man ever did was to breath in my scent and tell me how much I turned him on. I do think that this thread is good in one way because if one woman reads this that thinks that her natural healthy smell is bad (and again if there is a smell it is almost always a bacterial or yeast infection which is easily cured) and she realises that maybe the way she smells should be sexy and it is normal, then the thread has served a more useful purpose than the origional poster intended.
