    Submissive while teaching?

My Dom wants me to teach him how to cook. I don't mind teaching him, but I don't know the proper way to go about it while maintaining my submission. "excuse me master but you're about to burn the house down" doesn't quite have the right ring to it.

and as a secondary and related question, How do you teach someone to cook who is colorblind? I don't want to make him dependent on a meat thermometer, but he can't see color change in meat that indicates its done.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!!!

Are you in roles 24/7? If not, you could 'step out' for a bit during cooking lessons.

If you are, could you see your teaching as obeying an order to teach? Would that help?

If you are further in doubt, I suggest you ask your master.

As for the colour of the meat I am afraid I do not have any bright ideas.

as far as a steak is concerned there is a way to feel it , and by its firmness tell.

Lol, I don't see what's wrong with saying this at all, ds. He genuinely wants to learn something from you. So go ahead, instruct him with knowledge and pride in your skills, tell him clearly he's about to burn the house down/knock the pots over/spill the cake mixture if he is. Be respectful as you would expect to be but no need to go overboard when you're instructing, (obviously no need to be bratty), but enjoy this experience. He sounds like a lovely Dom that he wants to do this with you.
If you have this sort of relationship, why not see it as a gentle opportunity for a bit of careful teasing as you're teaching him, and if he feels the need to 'turn the tables' later, well, have fun!

As fairyjester said, with a steak you can tell by the firmness. Very Rare Steak feels soft and squishy. (kind of like the palm of your hand, near the thumb) Rare Steak is soft to the touch, Medium-Rare Steak yields gently to the touch (kinda like a sub. lol) Medium Steak yields only slightly to the touch, beginning to firm up Medium-Well Steak is firm to the touch and a Well-Done Steak hard to the touch (kinda like a Dom's private part when the sub yields)

With other meats and poultry, the best source, and what blind people do, is use their nose. (ummm.. I don't mean they stick it in the meat, though) Set a timer for when the meat should be done and then sniff away.

I wouldn't think that instructing a Dominant how to cook should be a problem. Cooking utensils are grand spanking implements so, everytime he makes a mistake, bend over and have him smack your butt. lol

While Im not colorblind and I have alot of experience cooking. Hubby accidentally brought home a work thermometer once and I thought dinner was done. Decided to use it and I was 30 degrees off.

For safe food there is NO replacement for a thermometer. These days I still try to know when food is done and I still check my senses with a thermometer. Still after all these years im off about 50% of the time lol Though my temperature margin is better 10 degrees as opposed to 30-50.

I dont use a thermometer for grilling steak or pan cooking usually. But if anything is done in the oven or thicker than a steak i use it like for grilling chicken.
