Del was quite surprised that she readily agreed to his invitation, and when she walked with him toward the coffee shop, he noticed some sneers from a couple of hookers standing near the street. He even heard of them say "new bitch", obviously referring to Sophie. It was also obvious to the dark haired man that they thought the lady walking beside him was horning in on their territory, and he knew some ladies of the night can get rough with someone they even think is competition, and the way Sophie was dressed it would be easy to think that. So with a bit of jump in his step he hustled her toward Starbucks.

Arriving there he was a bit surprised when Sophie paid for her own coffee, since it was he who invited her. When she took her seat, Del ordered his and got the distinct feeling that she was staring at his butt. Inwardly, he smiled.

This could prove to be an interesting night indeed.
