    loggin in

hello i have problems with login.

while using the site, i am asked very often to login, even if i am already logged in.

also, i received friends request and i try to accept (and save), but it does not work. i cannot even send message to other members or post on their walls.

    why is that?

its strange becuase i definitely log in and i can chat normally.

    Formatting Toolbars.

Is anyone else having problems with the formatting toolbars when commenting? They worked for me last night, but today they don't appear to be active. I've tried on three different browsers. Anyone else?

They seem to work just fine, but they look terrible. I'm using Chrome.

Instead of the formatting buttons being aligned along the top of the Reply window, they are lined up along the left side, and are only images, not links. Clicking on them does nothing. I've tried in Chrome, Firefox and IE and they all act the same.

I'm having the same problem :-/
If I didn't I'd probably be out there enjoying the rise and fall threads but with them in their current state I just don't feel in the mood for that...

Oh and these problems have been around for more then just the three hours since you posted your post.
I'm fairly sure (provided that I can trust my memory) that they where there when I went to bed yesterday evening.
I'm in Europe by the way.

The formatting buttons are all bunched up on the left, and they don't look clickable, but they do work when I click on them. The same is true if I click into the advanced formatting window.

Mine aren't clickable. Nothing happens. A right click shows them to be images only, no links. (I assume there are supposed to be links?)

Mine look like images only, too, with no link mentioned in the right-click menu. However, if i select a word such as bold, then click the "B" icon, it puts the codes around the word.

Mine won't even do that, at least not in Firefox. It's too late to worry about Chrome or IE tonight.

I've also found that clicking on Reply or Reply with Quote or Edit Post at the bottom of a post causes the page to hang. I can only use them by right-clicking and opening in a new Tab or new Window. Again, this is in Firefox. And I've confirmed that this is happening on two different computers, both running Windows XP.

One thing is that they look terrible...
Another thing is that the color one is missing atm meaning that I can't use my signature red color to highlight stuff I think of as important in my post...
Also, right now I think they've removed the formating so I guess they're working on improving it now :-)

You can still format manually. It's more challenging, but it works.

Also, right now I think they've removed the formating so I guess they're working on improving it now :-)
I figured they'd get to it. They're pretty good about fixing problems which come up once they've become aware of them. [/blatant ass kissing]

Yes, I know you >>can<< do so...
Trouble is just that it's not just html code but some forum code that I don't remember...
Think you could show me that color code in a code window?
That should make it possible for me to see what code you're using. ;-)
Anyway I'll see you all later :-)

Best way to find the codes is to find a message with the formatting you want and click on Reply With Quote. The codes show in the reply window. That's how I do it, anyway.

Provided that the button works in the first place...
It seem to do so now however.
(the edit button didn't work earlier and I assumed the reply button wouldn't either)

Yeah, I had problems with them last night. If you right click on the button and open in a new tab or window they seem to work all right.

Just for the record, Torq. I don't see any formatting tools in either Firefox OR Chrome. I signed out and signed back in, I cleared cookies, I restarted Firefox, and no toolbars. Just letting you know.

    FYI to any concerned:

The following is not a complaint lol.

.....Well I just logged in via fire fox, and although I can now post again the forums (IE didn't even let me do that) I see no applications for customizing or formatting the text.

Yep! Toolbars are back. Thanks, Torq.

As for the other things: I know. Patience!

You have my sympathies, and for what it's worth, my support.

    Thanks Torq!!! :-)
Its lovely to get the formatting back ^^
And it's interesting with a white background for a change (although I do hope we don't have to live with that forevermore)

    Forum Updating.....

Is there a server issue with the forun today? I'm finding that the forum isnt updating for me, and is showing that it is 3 hours earlier than it is, or not allowing posts to update etc. I'm hoping this is not a computer issue I'm having.

Anyhow just wanted to inquire. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated., Thanks.

When trying to post PM's or posts I get the following message.

Your message could not be submitted because the token has expired.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I changed my browser on my new laptop from IE to Google Chrome, and the problem seems to be fixed. The problem was likely my browser freezing, and not the forum. I will be using Google Chrome from now on.
